Well, it has been a while...
.... a very LONG while!
But here I am, making a new blog entry here that is NOT a list of gratitude thingies, but let us hope I will be able to take up on that again sometime soon.
This is just to quickly mark my current location in the Universe, and what my planned route ahead is.
I can't do I.T. anymore. A year and a half ago I was transferred to another client and boy, what a challenge! I started slacking with my work and ended up being moved from desktop support to call co-ordinator for the printer and telephone technicians. In the meantime a friend suggested that the two of us enroll at the University of South Africa to study B.Ed and become school teachers. It took me 10 seconds to win the battle inside my head and I said "YES!!!"
So, here I am: first hair raising semester behind my back, second one already looming. There is a LOT of work to be done, including reading prescribed books (which I don't mind), doing MANY assignments (that I DO mind) and also a five week observation period at a primary school for which I will be assessed and marked and evaluated...
... And inbetween all of this I still have to keep my I.T. boss's nappy clean. I ought to say "The things we do to ourselves" but I am not going to. I am just going to stick to my studies, do my best and carry on regardless. I will be okay. I always have been.
On that note, let me get back to my office duties. Soon, my pretties! I will be conquering the WORLD! My legion of little 6 and 7 year old minions will RULE THE PLANET!!
